Rainbow Rising are proud to announce that Steve Taylor has joined

the band as our new Bass player.

Steve has had many years experience in a variety of bands most recently

the superb AC/DC tribute Touch 2 Much

After an extremely enjoyable and successful first gig in Stratford we now

plan to get down to some serious rehearsal in preparation for

the next shows.

Long Live Rock n Roll.

As the saying goes, all good things must come to a end, and  we (Rainbow Rising) can confirm

that Tony has decided to leave the band.

Tony has chosen to hang up his bass guitar and retire completely from the music scene.

His career in music has spanned more than 30 years, including involvement in bands such as Hell, Parallax,

Down Down and of course Rainbow Rising, along the way finding time for a starring role in the 2005 OXO TV adverts: Shepherd's pie anyone?

Tony will be sorely missed by us all, not only for his unquestionable musical ability but also his dynamic on-stage persona and his hard work behind the scenes, keeping Rainbow Rising on the road.

As a band we would all like to thank Tony for his unrelenting devotion to Rainbow Rising over the last six years.

We wish you all the best in everything you do in the future.

We love you man

The Lads...

We will be auditioning for a replacement bass player throughout June and July for August gigs.

Interested parties should contact us now for immediate audition.

1976 - 2006

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the release of the Rainbow Rising album.

To celebrate this milestone in classic rock music

Rainbow Rising are proud to announce special shows to commemorate this event.

The shows will consist of the whole of the Rainbow Rising album performed back-to-back

followed by choice material drawn from the whole of the Deep Purple family tree.

We would like to say a very big thank you to everyone who has

chosen to attend our live shows over the last year (and the previous seven).

Without your support we are nothing.

You have helped us celebrate the

phenomenal talent of Mr. Ritchie Blackmore and the music he

made under the guise of Rainbow.

We do what we do as a tribute to the talent of

all the amazing musicians who have passed through the Rainbow ranks over the

years. Our passion is fueled by a desire to hear these awesome songs played live again.

We hope you will continue to support what we do in the coming year and beyond.

Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Many thanks again for all your support.

Rainbow Rising.

Special thanks to Stuart (Deepest Purple) for standing in on keyboards so superbly

for the last two shows of the year (due to Tor's unavoidable absence)

You are a star... Mr. Lordy

SINGER/FRONTMAN REQUIRED

Due to ever increasing outside commitments Raggie, our current vocalist,

is finding it increasingly difficult to meet all of Rainbow Rising's

current and future obligations.

This will become an even greater problem next year when the band intend to turn professional.

As a result we are currently auditioning for a suitable replacement vocalist.

The position will initially be on a temporary (as required) basis but has every possibility of becoming

a permanent arrangement for the reasons stated above.

Any interested party should contact the band immediately for immediate audition.
